The. Agr. San Felice, The. Agr. Hut, The. Agr. Places
Enoteca Cremona has selected three great Tuscan wines for you: Brunello CAMPO GIOVANNI 2013 dell’Az.Agr. San Felice, Brunello 2015 The. Agr. Hut, Campo Al Fico 2016 Bolgheri Superiore of the Az. Agr. Places. Three different styles, different grapes that tell Tuscany with personality and strength.
Brunello CAMPO GIOVANNI 2013 is the flagship product of the San Felice company. The Campogiovanni vineyards are located on the southern side of Montalcino, area where a particular microclimate and soil composition create an ideal combination for a perfect ripening of Sangiovese grosso. The soils are mainly clayey with a sub-layer of sandstone rocks and limestone marl. The manual harvest takes place in the fourth week of October and the grapes, after crushing, are macerated for 20 days. Malolactic fermentation takes place in steel. Campogiovanni will refine 36 months in Slavonian oak barrels and tonneaux from 500 liters and 12 months in the bottle. In the glass it has a beautiful ruby red color; the nose opens with a very intense bouquet of ripe wild berries, tobacco, leather and rosemary. On the palate it is velvety, with tannins of notes of fruit in alcohol. Brunello with a traditional style that stands out for its finesse and longevity.
Brunello 2015 Hut Company whose vineyards are in the best area of this Docg, precisely north of Montalcino, with a south-east exposure that favors the presence of a particular microclimate which only they can benefit from. Produced from the skilful mix of old vineyards, the same as the Riserva, with younger ones, this Brunello also shares the same winemaking methodology. The difference is in the barrel aging which in this case is shorter, allowing this liquid to express itself both in the scent and in the taste with thickness and elegance, but in a more "simple" and immediate way. It has an intense ruby red color and garnet reflections. The nose is rich in hints of red fruit and vanilla without being intrusive. On the palate it is harmonious with excellent tannins, excellent structure and very persistent. Elegant, it has an excellent freshness.
Campo al Fico Bolgheri Superiore is a SUPERTUSCAN fruit of the vinification of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The vines are grown in Pineto di Carolo, Castagneto Carducci, vineyard located on calcareous / sandy soils and with a high density of vines per hectare. Nevertheless, the yields are very limited in order to obtain the highest possible quality from each single bunch. Cab Sauv and Cab Franc are vinified separately with indigenous yeasts only in steel tanks with a maceration of 20 days on the skins. The refinement of the wine, after assembly, dura 20 months in French oak barriques and further months 12 months in the bottle. In the glass it has an intense and dense garnet red color; the nose is elegantly expressed with aromas of sweet spices, dried flowers, cherry jam and puffs of spices and licorice. On the palate it is full-bodied, powerful, rich with an intense sip balanced by an excellent freshness and a persistent moloto drink finish. Campo al Fico is the Maremma coast in the glass: a red that perfectly reflects the Tuscan tradition brought into the new millennium.
