Description
Champagne ROSE’ 2013 Brut
LOUIS ROEDERER House
This maison is one of the last wineries in the Champagne region of France to still be owned by the same family that founded it in the distant 1776. While others bought grapes, Roederer has staked everything on working in the vineyard, buying the best vineyard plots, fully convinced that the quintessence of a great wine resided in the earth, and consequently traced the fate of the Maison. The Roederer winery boasts an ownership of almost 240 hectares, divided among the three best Champagne crus, located in the villages of Montagne de Reims, Côtes des Blancs, e Marne Valley, from which come the ideal grapes for its elegant and balanced wines.
The Vintage Vintage Rose di Roederer is produced starting from a blend made for 65% from Pinot Nero and for the 35% from Chardonnay, with grapes from Cumeriès, well-known municipality in which the soils are of clayey limestone matrix. The fermentation of the base wines takes place mostly in steel, with a 20% which ferments instead in wooden barrels. Il lungo affinamento di 48 months in the bottle, gives the liquid greater complexity and depth, just as the calibrated dosage is a sort of trademark of the Roederer family. Nel calice con un colore rosa ramato ed un perlage fine e persistente. Floral and seductive aromas with complex nuances of dried fruit and cocoa invite to a soft and round sip, fresh and mineral.
