Born in 1986 by Carlo Dorigati and his friend winemaker Sandro Paternoster, Methius is a sparkling wine that expresses its territory with elegance and strength also thanks to 60 months of aging on its own yeasts. It amazes for its aromatic richness and complexity, thrilling from the first impact.

We firmly believe that the best innovation is basically respect for traditions.

In this sentence they are collected 150 years of production history of the Dorigati family whose winery is located in the historic center of Mezzocorona. The vineyards grow between the Piana Rotaliana and the slopes of Mount Mezzocorona. Parallel to the Dorigati company, Carlo Dorigati and his friend Paternoster winemaker, create in 1986 another company that deals with the production of the classic Trento Doc method: Methius. This name derives from the time when the Celts lived in this region. This wine is born from the union of grapes on one of the best terroirs in the area, the hilly area of ​​Faedo and Pressano sites between 350 ed i 500 meters.

The Methius clearly represents its territory of origin. E’ a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir that refines 5 years on its lees. Before assembly, only the chardonnay is aged in barrique. In the glass it is straw yellow with golden reflections and a fine and very persistent perlage. The nose is obviously complex, with an articulated aromatic range: hazelnut, vanilla and citrus notes are powerful and very elegant. On the palate it is structured and elegant, the refined bubbles envelop the drinker with sensations of freshness and minerality with a long persistence.
