Description
Maison Louis TARLANT
Now in its twelfth generation, with Mélanie and Benoît in the vineyard and cellar, this Maison began producing Champagne in 1687. Returned to its roots in 1999, a Oeuilly, Benoît tries to emphasize the expressions of the terroir and to produce Champagne "that have taste and strength". This generous winemaker then creates some new cuvées from old vines, with the three great varieties, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Meunier, but it also brings attention to ancient varieties such as Pinot Blanc, small meslier and arbanne. Modernize your techniques, without betraying the ancient familiar savoir-faire: it vinifies in tonneaux and extends the refinements by placing its wines on the market only after years of drafting ( their entry wine comes out after at least 6 years!!!). The solidity of these Champagnes is an absolute reference in the universe of non-dosed products. Their viticulture is extremely demanding: adapted to the variegated mosaic of soils and subsoils of their vineyards: from sands to silica, from calcareous clays to pure gypsum. No yeast selected, nor enzymes, two thirds of the vinifications take place in wood.
