This maison is one of the last wineries in the Champagne region of France to still be owned by the same family that founded it in the distant 1776.
While others bought grapes, Roederer has staked everything on working in the vineyard, buying the best vineyard plots, fully convinced that the quintessence of a great wine resided in the earth, and consequently traced the fate of the Maison. The Roederer winery boasts an ownership of almost 240 hectares, divided among the three best Champagne crus, located in the villages of Montagne de Reims, Côtes des Blancs, e Marne Valley, from which come the ideal grapes for its elegant and balanced wines.
The Brut Blanc de Blancs it is a fresh and fine Champagne. Produced with vines that grow in two highly suited areas, i cru of Mesnil-sur-Oger and Avize, characterized by a terroir composed mainly of chalk. 80% vinified in steel, while the remaining part in oak barrels. La seconda fermentazione avviene in bottiglia e il vino rimane poi ad affinare on the yeasts for 5 years, to which is added a further aging in glass of 6 months. In the glass with a typically straw yellow color, crossed by reflections that tend to greenish. The perlage is fine and persistent. Al naso è coinvolgente, with subtle spice notes, citrus fruits, flowers, slight chalky minerality and white pulp fruit and lightly toasted hazelnut. On the palate it is fragrant, well structured, Elegant. Large bubble that contains the tradition of centuries of history, a classic of French champagne production.
