Barolo docg Serralunga 2013
The. Agr. PALLADINO
After studying Oenology at the Oenological Institute of Alba, Piero Palladino did not immediately embark on a career as a winemaker. He started various businesses and then moved on to the textile industry. But the wine, his passion, he has never forgotten it. In 1974 buys the current Az. Vinicola Palladino and entrusts its management to his cousin Maurilio who will later become his partner. The company has its vineyards in the most important areas of Nebbiolo da Barolo production in the municipality of Serralunga, all of which are important cru: San Berbardo, Ornate, Parafada. Tradition and modernity: the Palladino family combines the wisdom of its history with current trends in order to ensure that history and tradition are preserved and handed down.
The Barolo Serralunga it is produced exclusively with Nebbiolo Barolo from the Crù vineyards of the area. Winemaking as particular as traditional that leads to being able to taste a great classic, aristocratic and elegant. In the glass it is intense ruby red with garnet reflections. The nose reveals hints of red fruit such as cherry, blackberry and purple floral, red roses and spices. On the palate it is full-bodied and structured, intense and with striking but fine tannins. A great Piedmontese Barolo that embodies the classicism of the DOCG.
