Barolo Margheria takes its name from the vineyard of the same name in Serralunga d’Alba. Elegant, fragrant and velvety. The history dei Massolino and their wine is linked to the history of Serralunga d’Alba in 1896, When Giovanni he founded his winery. The first cantina it was built by Giuseppe, son of the founder Giovanni, who together with his sister Angela extends the properties on the best land, It is in the 1934 is one of the founders of the Consortium for the protection of Barolo and Barbaresco. I Massolino: make wine with passion, in his territory of origin, preserving the typicality of the autochthonous vine in the belief that among the year, the hills ed i winemakers exists a bond deep and palpable, made of affinities cemented by custom to the same places. Tradition that in recent decades has been continued and developed by the sons Franco and Roberto who have acquired, in the late eighties, other land. In addition to the "classic" vineyards from which their excellent barbera comes, dolcetto, nebbiolo, the brothers added very important "Crù" vineyards which are now the flagship of this winery: DAISY, PARAFADA, VIGNA RIONDA. The extension of the properties is 24 hectares with altitudes ranging between 300 ed i 360 meters, each enjoying particular microclimates and different soils that give grapes with different characteristics.

BAROLO MARGHERIA CRU’ it is vinified with only grapes from the vineyard of the same name. The "Margheria" vineyard is located in Serralunga d’Alba at an altitude of 340 m s.l.m. Its total area is 1,5 hectares and enjoys an excellent location: constantly sunny, protected by the Castelletto hill thus benefiting from a particular microclimate, and moreover the earth has a calcareous subsoil with an excellent percentage of sand. Characteristics that will mark the wines of this vineyard well. At sight it has an intense garnet red. On the nose, predominant spice notes stand out, tobacco and fruits of the undergrowth that will intensify and improve over the years. On the palate it represents the classic tradition of the area: exuberant when young with present and persistent tannins that will harmonize with age. It also has unmistakable mineral notes characteristic of this Crù.
