Description
ARTU’ Marche red igt
THE. AGR. San Lorenzo farm
Marche company with the winery located in Montecarotto in those of Ancona. Thirty hectares of property with vines that reach even i 50 years of age now for at least 25 years cultivated in biodynamics. The beating heart of this reality is Natalino Crognaletti considered one of the winemakers with the most lively personality of the Marche landscape. The progenitor was the grandfather, winemaker and cooper, then the father expert pruner and clone selector, and now Natalino who has developed his own production strategy, unique and original, in order to give life to its wines of clear territorial imprint: visceral and full of personality, in sharp contrast to commercial and modern fashions. No treatment in the vineyard, long maturations on the lees for whites and long macerations for reds, use of indigenous yeasts only, vinification in concrete and old barrels e, above all, give time to nature to be able to express itself.
ARTU’ is a splendid blend of Montepulciano and Sangiovese from old vineyards located on the Marche hills surrounding Jesi at an altitude between 300 ed i 400 meters with calacreous-clayey and very mineral soils. Red with excellent structure and great balance, expression of Natalino's skill and passion in making totally different vineyards, managing to obtain the highest quality. In the glass it has a deep ruby red color, dense in turning it; the nose is full of aromas of ripe red fruit such as cherry and plum with hints of licorice and cocoa. On the palate it is rich and sumptuous with smooth tannins and a great drink; the finish is persistent and mineral. Nice glass of red wine that warms up with every sip and puts different palates at ease. Wine that is suitable for consumption up to ten years after the harvest.
